
Korey Burgin, M.D.
Biography:
Born and raised in Crowley, Louisiana. Attended Northwestern State University and LSU Baton Rouge for undergraduate and graduate school. Left Louisiana in 2002 to pursue medical studies at the American University of the Caribbean. Following medical school, completed diagnostic radiology residency at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan followed by diagnostic neuroradiology fellowship at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Ark. Career path came full circle with a return to Louisiana when joining Red River Consultants in July of 2013. Have since completed certificate of added qualification in neuroradiology in 2014. Special interest included all brain imaging modalities as well as head and neck imaging. Other interest include lung cancer screening. When not working, primary enjoyment is corralling four young children. When able to extract from parent responsibilities, also enjoy reading, running and fishing.
