Almas Syed, M.D.
Biography:
Almas was born in Florida before becoming an honorary Texan, spending most of his formative years in Houston, Texas. He then found his second home in Dallas, where he attended The University of Texas at Dallas for his undergraduate degree, before graduating ranked #1 in his medical school class with AΩA honors from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Almas then returned to Dallas for his intern year at UT Southwestern and his radiology residency at Baylor University Medical Center. He stayed on at Baylor to complete his Vascular Interventional Radiology fellowship. His particular areas of interest are arterial disease, endovascular embolizations, interventional oncology, and continuing to pursue newly developed interventional procedures. In his off time, Almas enjoys traveling with his family, staying active, and learning how to become a new Louisianan.
